Apple Crisp

 Preheat oven to 350°

Base

·      6 cooking apples peeled and sliced

·      ¾ cup of sugar

·      ½ tsp. cinnamon

·      1 Tbsp. flour

·      1 tsp. lemon juice

·      1 Tbsp. soft butter

Topping

·       4 Tbsp. soft shortening

·      4 Tbsp. brown sugar

·      1 cup of flour

In a large bowl mix together the base ingredients and pour into a baking dish.

In a small bowl mix together the toppings. Lightly apply topping over apple mixture.

Bake for an hour at 350° and bubbling. The topping should be browned and crisp.
