Taken from James Barber, “The Urban Peasant”, which was a cooking show on CBC back in the 90’s. Check it out on YouTube. I used to watch this show in the afternoon before going to pick my kids up from school.
• Good quality pork breakfast sausages
• Cranberry Cocktail juice
This is so simple, but give yourself 20-30 minutes. Place the sausage in a frying pan over medium high heat. Add the cranberry juice until just about covered. Allow this to gently simmer until all the liquid is evaporated until you have a jammy like coating on the sausages. Be careful you do not over cook or under do it. Watch carefully and listen the last few minutes.
